One of the best known tanks – the german “Panther”. I love it’s edgy figure, and I think it’s one of the best ones for scale modellers. It looks really agressive and has lots of flat surfaces which offer nice painting opportunities.
Many years ago I started to build a Panther G using a Dragon kit, but it never was completly done. Then, when I decided to play Battlegroup tabletop wargame, it was a perfect base to build a Panther G model for that purpose.
One of the biggest advantages of this model is that it has Zimmerit on it straight out of the box. Few photoetched parts are also a nice addition. Model is very accurate and doesn’t make any problems during the build. I only added scratch-built track covers, because the original ones were too thick.
I used Tamiya acrylics. Miniature’s paintjob was loosly inspired by painting scheme of german tanks used in Normandy in 1944. Weathering was made using oil paints, some Vallejo pigments and AK oil effects. Drybrushed with Pactras.
